Mudgee Classic Earlybird Specials Closing This Sunday

Bicycling Australia were thrilled to announce the 2020 Mudgee Classic earlier in the year, uptake and interest in the new event has exceeded expectations and we are super-excited about this, our 9th Gran Fondo.

The Mudgee Classic may be six months away but you’ll be missing out if you don’t register before this Sunday! The Gran Fondo for New South Wales is on Sunday 5 May and now is the time to plan, book and save.

Here are our top five reasons you should sign up for the inaugural Mudgee Classic this week.

1. Free Cinettica Jersey

If you register for Mudgee before Sunday 17 November, you’ll score a premium event jersey from Cinettica for FREE. This is a stylish ‘country’ green & black pro-level jersey valued at $110. This offer is for Challenge and Maxi Classic riders – see the REGISTRATION page for further details.

2. Save On Entry & Secure Accommodation

Dream destinations – especially areas so relatively close to major population centres – tend to be in high demand when major events such as a cycling classic come to town. Mudgee is going to be very popular and accomodation will be in serious demand. We’d recommend searching for and securing your accomodation early! Event registration is also discounted at present – sign up this week, secure your spot on the start line early and save.

Now is the time to register and save + start training to get the most out of the 2020 Mudgee Classic.

3. The Perfect Time To Train

Late Spring and early Summer are wonderful times to be out enjoying the perfect weather and getting quality kilometres into the legs. What better focus than an inaugural 2020 Gran Fondo to use as a training target over these warmer months. Set personal goals, challenge your mates, track your progress over Strava segments and steadily improve as we edge closer to the most exciting new Gran Fondo on the circuit.

More than just the world-class cycling, Mudgee offers sensational food & wine plus accommodation for all budgets.

4. The Authentic Country Experience

Mudgee is just over three hours from Sydney but remains one of the state’s best-kept secrets. Rich in Australian culture, folklore and heritage, the region truly offers something for everyone. From the award-winning vineyards to craft breweries to the wide range of accommodation options, the region offers the perfect weekend (or long weekend!) escape.

5. Friendly Competition

Like all our events – Bowral, Clare, Noosa and now Mudgee, the Classic is not a race but that doesn’t mean you can’t test, challenge & stretch yourself. Gran Fondo’s offer the opportunity to set training targets, achieve personal objectives and take on your mates. Cycling is a brilliant way for us to challenge ourselves and either maintain or improve fitness levels – what better way to do this than on the roads of the Mudgee region with hundreds of other enthusiasts.
