The Mudgee Classic is a road cycling event that takes place in the beautiful wine region of Mid-West NSW. The ride incorporates three routes, passing through Mudgee to Rylston, the Bylong Valley, Lue and more.
The centre of activity on the day will be the Mudgee Classic Event Village at Lawson Park, Mudgee. Please come along and cheer the riders as they cross the finish line during the day.
The Event Village will be open from 10am-4pm and will include live music, market stalls, children’s activities, cycling exhibitors and more.
Riders from all over Australia have registered for the inaugural event. Many will be staying in Mudgee over the weekend boosting tourism and bringing considerable economic benefits to the local region.

The Mudgee Classic is on Sunday, 2 May 2021.
The inaugural cycling event includes three courses, the 170KM Maxi Classic, the 120KM Challenge Classic, and the 35KM Social Classic.
The ride starts on Church St, Mudgee (outside St Marys Catholic Church) between 7:00am and 8:00am.
The first riders will return to Lawson Park, Mudgee at 10am. The last riders are expected to cross the finish line around 4.00pm.
The Mudgee Classic Event Village is at Lawson Park, Mudgee.
When: 10.00am to 4.00pm, Sunday 2 May 2021.
What: The Event Village will be a lively centre of activity and entertainment as riders cross the finish line throughout the day. All welcome!

Note: The Event Village will be open in a limited capacity on Saturday (1-4pm) and Sunday (6am to 7.30am), mainly for rider kit collection. A limited number of cycling exhibitor stalls will be open on the Saturday.
Cheer on cyclists as they depart from Church St, Mudgee between 7:00am and 8:00am.
7:00am – 7:25am: 170KM Maxi Classic riders cross the start line and head north.
7:30am to 7:50am: 120KM Challenge Classic riders cross the start line and head north.
8:00am to 8:10am: 35KM Social Classic riders cross the start line and head north.
Riders will cross the finish line at Lawson Park between 10am and 4.00pm.

Lue Rd will be closed from 6:30am – 4:00pm on Sunday May 2, 2021.
Between Ulan Rd and Bylong Valley Way, use Castlereagh Hwy. Local traffic only permitted –
photographic ID will be required to be shown for entry. Speed limits will be reduced to 60km for the
entire road during event time. Police will be patrolling the road at all times, please be considerate
of cyclists and only overtake when safe to do so. Cyclists will be travelling in both directions.

This is the recommended parking spot as there is a cycle path direct to the Event Village at Lawson
Park and to the Start Line on Church St. Distance to both is less than 2km.
Parking at Glen Willow is open from 4am-5pm on Sunday, 3 May.
Gates will be locked at dusk.
